Early in my 20+ year communications career, I learned the importance of a clear, focused message.
Today, as the principal of Marckworth Associates, I use those lessons every day to help my clients distinguish themselves in the marketplace.
Marckworth Associates is a marketing and identity development firm with a specialty in personal branding. We focus on individuals and produce a package customized for their needs. I work one-on-one with my clients to develop an inventory of their strengths and assets, a distinctive brand identity, and a campaign that targets their ideal customers.
I've always enjoyed doing things a little differently.
For example, when I was a principal of Muir Public Relations, we won awards for our innovative national public relations campaigns and our community relations work in neighborhoods. Over the years, I've worked with corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies to refocus and renew their message-and, as a result, to achieve more attention and improved market share. I've also served as a Washington State lobbyist for family and children's services issues, social service manager and family therapist.
I bring my philosophy of creative change to the non-profit boards I've served throughout my career.
I'm the current Board Chair for Billings Middle School, an innovative independent school that uses environmental stewardship, community involvement and outdoor education as teaching tools for adolescents. I also enjoy working on the Board of Northern Lights Northwest and the Advisory Boards for Next Stage Dance Theatre and the Cascade Symphony Orchestra.
